“Volunteers are not paid not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless.”
— Sherry Anderson
As a charitable organisation with limited staff resources and funds, ACRES is in constant need of volunteers to help with all aspects of our work. Your help makes a world of difference to animals!
Although specific skills may be very helpful, the most important thing is that you care about animals and have a desire to make a difference.
You can commit to volunteering for any length of time and on a flexible basis. It's up to you whether you want to help out on a regular basis and commit to a certain number of hours each week or month, or if you prefer to be on call to help out with certain events.
You can choose to help with just one area of work or a range of different areas.
Once you have registered as a volunteer, we will keep you updated of all upcoming volunteer activities in your particular area/s of interest by email.
You can also find out about upcoming volunteer opportunities on our Volunteer Calendar page or by joining our Facebook Volunteer Community.
