Donation FAQs

How can I make a donation to ACRES?

By cheque / postal order

Cheques and postal orders can be made out to “ACRES” and sent to our office address:

Please provide us with your name as in NRIC/Employment Pass/Work Permit, NRIC/FIN number and contact details for us to send you an acknowledgement and a tax-exempt receipt.

How much should I donate?

We welcome any amount that you are comfortable giving.

What percentage of funds raised goes to the animals?

We value your support and ensure that your donations are used wisely. In the Financial Year 09-10, 86% of our expenditure went directly to our animal protection programmes. You can read full details of the last year’s accounts by downloading our latest Annual Report.

Do I get a tax-exempt receipt for my donation?

Yes. ACRES has the Institution of Public Character (IPC) status (Registration no. IPC000559). This means that donations to ACRES qualify for double tax exemption. For example, if you donate $100 to ACRES, $200 will be deducted from your taxable income.

If you would like to receive double tax exemption for your donations, please supply us with your full name as per NRIC/Employment Pass/Work Permit and your NRIC/FIN number when you make a donation. You will then receive automatic tax relief benefits from IRAS. If you supply us with your mailing address we will also send you a tax-exempt receipt for your records.
