Community Outreach Officer
Responsibilities
- Learn about volunteer management and implement strategic improvements to our existing volunteer management plans.
- Manage and work with individual volunteers and groups of volunteers from all walks of life.
- Plan, organise and facilitate logistic arrangements for volunteer activities.
- Co-ordinate between volunteers, staff and external parties and oversee the running of volunteer programmes.
- Maintain records and prepare materials related to volunteer programmes.
- Perform administration duties.
- Submit a monthly report to the committee and management on volunteer programmes.
- Continually assess and develop volunteer projects and constantly seek new and interesting activities for volunteers.
- Organise events that involve the community in the animal protection movement.
Man ACRES roadshows at schools and public events, speaking to members of the public about volunteer opportunities and animal protection issues.
Requirements
- Class 3 driving license.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel 2007).
- Energetic and outgoing,
- Good interpersonal skills with people of all age groups and all walks of life.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous team player with strong organisational skills.
- Able to commit full- time for a minimum of two years.
- Bilingual in English and another language.
- Previous experience in successfully managing volunteer projects with other non-profit organisations would be an advantage.
Working location: ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre, 91 Jalan Lekar (Choa Chu Kang is the nearest MRT)
Working days: 5 days a week, 9:30am to 5pm (including some weekend duties)
Salary: SGD1,400
